Kasten Chase and WinMagic Partner To Develop Disk Encryptor For The National Security Agency
Partnership results in advanced media encryption technology for the protection of
mission critical U.S. Military and Government information
TORONTO, ONTARIO, June 30, 2000 - Kasten Chase (TSE: KCA) and WinMagic Data Security Inc. today announced a strategic partnership to develop a high-security media encryption product for the U.S. Government's National Security Agency (NSA).
"The charter of the NSA's Remote Access Security Program is to provide solutions that meet the ever-increasing demand for secure remote access through public telephone lines to the nation's Classified and Sensitive But Unclassified networks," said Michael G. Developed in concert with WinMagic's award-winning SecureDoc 2.0 disk encryption software for Windows NT 4.0 operating systems, RASP Secure Media uses a FORTEZZA® Crypto Card to encrypt all information on a PC's hard disk and removable media.
