WINMAGIC INC. LISTED AS A VISIONARY
IN LAPTOP DATA PROTECTION.
Mississauga, November 05, 2001 - Gartner, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm, lists WinMagic Inc. as a Visionary in a recent evaluation of the world's laptop data protection companies.
Gartner's August 15, 2001 "Laptop Data Protection Magic Quadrant" by John Girard lists WinMagic as a 'Visionary'*. Gartner's Magic Quadrant positions vendors in a particular market segment based on their vision and ability to execute that vision. Gartner defines Visionaries as vendors who have a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimizing service delivery
The same report recognizes that "Laptop computer theft, and the subsequent loss of sensitive data, has become the Achilles heel of any enterprise's efforts to protect its intellectual property and the privacy rights of its clients and business partners."
