WinMagic Releases SecureDoc Version 3.6

Inc. has released SecureDoc version 3.6. This new version includes
increased support for hardware tokens, token readers, tablet PCs,
and improved security, among other new features. Below is a list of
new features in Version 3.6.
- Increased Support for Hardware Tokens and Readers:

Datakey MU18 applications. User can now work with MU18 and earlier
versions with respects to the change Datakey has made in handling
the token PIN.
- Increased Support for Tablet PCs
SecureDoc Disk Encryption now supports the Compaq Tablet PC -
TC1000 & on-screen keyboard for Fujitsu 5000 series.
- Boot From CD
Boot from CD after boot logon (only limited CD modes).
- Increased Security
Configurable to enforce stricter rules on password expiry.
On creation of a key file based on certificates, SecureDoc can
perform certificate Validation that includes root key check, CRL,
policy and key usage, expiry time etc. (certificate validation for
Windows 2000/XP/2003 only).
New format for SecureDoc profile. More features for the
"Customize" tab, and "Boot Control" tab.
Configurable delay time before accessing hardware token in
SecureDoc
GINA to accommodate the fact that PC/SC and some tokens need time
to start.
- More Customizable
Add more features in hardware configuration menu (F4) at boot
logon.
New "custom" error handling. The administrator can configure the
error messages to replace the
default information "Please contact WinMagic Technical Support".
This text can be modified based on custom text.
