WinMagic Inc. is proud to announce that it has developed French versions of its SecureDoc Disk Encryption
products (SecureDoc and SecureDoc Enterprise Server).
Mississauga Canada, January 14, 2005 - WinMagic Inc. is proud to announce that it has developed French
versions of its SecureDoc Disk Encryption products (SecureDoc and SecureDoc Enterprise Server).
”We have acknowledged the need and demand for localized versions of our software”, says Thi Nguyen-Huu,
WinMagic’s CEO.
“This is a first step in a series of localized versions that we will release this year. We have received a number
of requests from France, Switzerland and Quebec (Canada) about French versions and we found it was time to honour these
requests”.
WinMagic’s Development Team is currently working on the Unicode project which will make it much easier to localize
SecureDoc for Asian languages as well (Chinese, Japanese, etc.). It is expected that Unicode will be supported in
SecureDoc version 4.0 which is planned for release in Q2 of this year.
WinMagic, with its globalization, is committed to facilitate and accommodate to its international customers and channel
partners.
“The first reactions from our customers and channel partners are very positive”, according to Nguyen-Huu. “This is
very encouraging for us as a company, knowing that hundreds of thousands of users are using and will be using SecureDoc
worldwide, whether it is a localized version or not. As a company, we are very flexible and we can meet customers’
demands and requirements within a very short period of time. We have proven ourselves in this respect numerous times,
not only with this first localized version, but also when it comes to integrating new technologies and new hardware
tokens (smart cards, USB tokens), at pre-boot time, in our software”.
As a further commitment to its international customers, WinMagic opened two new European offices this month (January 2005);
the WinMagic European Headquarters is based in Munich, Germany and a sales office was established just outside London,
England.
