Major highlights in SecureDoc v5.3 SR1

  • Silent Deployment: Replaces the use of an initial password for SecureDoc deployments.
  • Keyboard Layout: Added feature enabling users to select their keyboard layout at pre-boot.
  • Error Tracking: Added new logging feature to track errors after SecureDoc installation.
  • SDConnex Prioritization: Improved ability of PBConnex to communicate with multiple SDConnex servers.
  • EX-FAT: Removable Media Container Encryption (RMCE) users can now create removable media containers that aren’t limited to the traditional FAT-32 file size restrictions of 4GB.
  • OPAL SED Sleep: OPAL SED disk drives no longer have any system resume issues from sleep mode.

Silent Deployment

This solution replaces the use of an initial password for SecureDoc deployments. SecureDoc will now be deployed with an auto-boot account.

Note: Autoboot will continue to be used until the user’s credentials are synced to their keyfile.

Feature added to improve password synchronization issues that could occur before, during and after encryption conversion.

SecureDoc form logging

Added new logging feature to track errors after SecureDoc installation. When errors occur and devices that have installed SecureDoc fail to communicate with SecureDoc Enterprise Server, a log is now taken to capture and track the error.

PBConnex & SDConnex

Improved ability of PBConnex to communicate with multiple SDConnex servers and appropriately prioritize or randomize connections to those servers and manage traffic flow.

Profile Setting in SES

Improved setting in SES to configure ‘Quick’ or ‘Standard/thorough’ encryption. Administrators can now select what type of encryption they want for the RMO device.

No longer require single sign-on (use SecureDoc credentials to log into Windows) to enable auto log-in (Automatically log into Windows with pre-boot credential).

Linux is only supported on devices using SEDs via SecureDoc OSA. With the introduction of SecureDoc OSA all versions of Linux are now supported.
