SecureDoc Self-Extractor

Encrypted, Password Protected Self-Extracting Archives

What it does
Allows you to securely share data with third parties who do not have SecureDoc.

How it works
SecureDoc Self-Extractor creates encrypted, password-protected self-extracting archives.

SecureDoc Self-Extractor is a utility that allows you to share your sensitive data with trusted third parties without compromising security. You can maximize efficiency and productivity while sending sensitive data. Confidential information will be protected from unauthorized access by a strong AES 256-bit, FIPS 140 approved crypto engine, combined with a strong password authentication.

Self-Extractor Encryption is a different form of file and folder encryption altogether. This method simply encrypts the folder (and folders and files underneath) and creates a “zipped format” executable CAB file. Although the encryption uses an AES encryption key, it is ONLY accessible via a password.

Strong AES 256-bit Encryption
Our enterprise-class, government-grade AES 256-bit crypto engine ensures that your sensitive data and that your clients’personal identifiable information will remain secure from unauthorized access. The AES 256-bit encryption engine is also FIPS approved, and will assist your organization in complying with privacy and security regulations.

Advanced File Compression
Achieve optimal file compression to ensure that your files are as small as possible so that they may be sent quickly and easily.

Strong Password Rules
Use strong passwords to protect your confidential information from unauthorized access. Administrators may also enforce complex password policies including maximum and minimum length, maximum number of characters, maximum number ofnon-numeric characters, the number of days that passwords may be kept for, etc. Password information will be stored in the SQL Server database in an encrypted format using AES 256-bit encryption.

Flexible Configuration
SecureDoc Self-Extractor is designed to help you comply with the specific security and privacy requirements of your organizations, and will work seamlessly with your company’s existing IT infrastructure. For this reason, it’s very easy for users to share these encrypted files to third party users (who won’t have SecureDoc installed and cannot access the MediaViewer). The user simply has to double-click on the file and is prompted for the password.
